Dear Gilles,
(6am) We booked a boat tour up fiord today with a privately run company - running in the park. BonTours Western Brook Tour.
We headed up a long lake - same shape and formation as Quesnel Lake, but much smaller.
It started raining at the campsite at 7. And our tent vestibule is set up at what should be the back door - which I knew, but was too lazy to switch it around. We may be paying for that in the future. The rain, though heavy now, should clear up by the time we get back from our tour.
(4pm) The boat tour was a success. It was cold. It was wet. It rained. And we were mostly dressed for it.
We had to walk 3km to the boat launch, and waited in the rain for about 20minutes before boarding.
The highlight for me was on the return trip, KJ Hollahand (the host) who has a self produced CD out (which we bought) - decided to play his music for the passengers. He needed help with the spoons. Patric played - and played and played. Luc got Rattlin' Bog in - and sang along all the lyrics.
We walked back, enjoyed the view of the bogs and the Canada Geese with babies.
We went in to Rocky Harbour for a pizza lunch before heading back to the campsite.
Tonight is promising to be dry until rain tomorrow.
