Day 12

 Dear Gilles,

The roads from Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie were bare and wet. Good driving conditions. Very little traffic.

We started the day at Tim Hortons and were gifted a muffin from another BC traveller, who was charged for two, but only wanted one.

Then we headed on the road.

Northern Ontario is snow covered. The snow banks were up to the bottom of the signs in some points.
Our first stop was Nipigon for Paddle to the Sea park. It's winter. There are no tourists. The snow had been plowed to banks and we had to go through knee deep sinking snow to get to the top of the lookout.

Then we went to White River. Again, the snow was up to our knees, thighs etc - either way there was no shovelled pathways AT ALL.

We made it to Wawa just before 3pm. Luc was sleeping as we drove downtown and found the Municipal Offices. The clerk was very happy to provide Patric and I with 3 lapel pins.

Ending the day with a swim in the pool. Tomorrow we'll start at the Bushplane Museum and the Insectarium. And end the day in TORONTO.
